About Lisa Turner

Lisa Turner is a chef, food writer, and intuitive eating coach, with more than 25 years of professional experience and training. She has written five books on health and nutrition, and hundreds of magazine articles; her work has appeared in Self Magazine, Vegetarian Times, Alternative Medicine, Natural Health Magazine, Delicious Living, Health, and many others. She is also a featured food blogger for The Huffington Post.

As a former investigative reporter with major daily newspapers, Lisa specializes in research. Her work focuses on the most up-to-date clinical trials and epidemiological studies involving the health benefits of the foods she writes about.

As a long-time meditator with 20 years of experience in yoga and mind-body practices, she also examines the interplay between food, emotions and intuition in her writing.

Lisa has appeared on nationally televised cooking shows, and has taught cooking and nutrition classes at culinary arts schools and other venues across the country. Currently, she is a faculty instructor at Bauman College of Culinary Arts and Nutrition in Boulder, and co-owner of Boulder Organic Foods. Lisa is also the founder of Inspired Eating: Emotions, intuition and food, where she works with clients to help them explore some of the deeper issues surrounding their patterns of eating.
